Montana's 125th
MEDIA: WEB DEVELOPMENT + ILLUSTRATION
DATE: NOVEMBER 2014
CLIENT: GREAT FALLS TRIBUNE
In November of 2014, Montana celebrated its 125th year of statehood - its quasquicentennial (which is such a delightful word!).
I was working at the Great Falls Tribune that fall as the paper's Digital Content Editor. To celebrate the state's big birthday, the newsroom produced a huge special section full of stories and trivia. I was charged with building the digital version, the banner logo and a handful of other graphics.
This website was built with HTML and CSS using the Bootstrap framework. It includes links to all of the coverage created for the occassion and a copy of the print edition in PDF form. You can view the complete website in my Dev repository.
The project was awarded first place for Best Special Section by the Montana Newspaper Association.
